2013 Calendar – Marking centenary of Northern Friends Peace Board

In January 1913 Quakers in the North of Britain held a peace conference, at which they decided to set up a Peace Board, ‘to advise and encourage Friends in the North, and through them their fellow Christians and citizens generally, in the active promotion of peace in all its height and breadth’.

We are still working to that 1913 remit and will mark our centenary in a number of ways, drawing on the past to inform and inspire future Quaker peace work.
Getting the ball rolling, we are publishing a calendar, using some of the many posters published by NFPB over the years.
